Sheffield is having a proper Year of Beer in 2026. Whether you want a mile-long pub trail, a sunny weekend at a rugby club, or the city's landmark real-ale celebration, here are three still to come on the calendar.
Abbeydale Road Beer Festival — 30 July to 2 August
Where: 12 venues along Abbeydale Road (trail starts at The Broadfield, 452 Abbeydale Road)
When: Thursday 30 July – Sunday 2 August 2026
Tickets: Free trail — no advance booking
Now in its fifth year, this is Sheffield's mile-long beer trail — tap takeovers, bottle shops, beer gardens, street food, and DJs spread across independent venues from Nether Edge toward town. Collect stamps as you go; the vibe is casual pint-hopping rather than one big hall.
Perfect if you want something near you in S7 without trekking to Kelham or the city centre.

Seven Hills Beer Festival — 28 to 30 August
Where: Sheffield Tigers RUFC, Hathersage Road, Dore Moor (S17)
When: Friday 28 – Sunday 30 August 2026
Tickets: Free entry — 7hillsbeerfest.co.uk
South-west Sheffield's Seven Hills Beer Festival returns to Dore Moor with 30+ cask beers from local and regional craft brewers, live sport, live music, and food stalls. Beers are stored and served in condition by brewing-industry volunteers — and as Sheffield Tigers' annual fundraiser, entry won't cost you a penny.
Family-friendly, outdoorsy, and a world away from the city-centre hall format — ideal if you're in S17, Totley, or Dore and want a proper August bank-holiday weekend pint.

Plan your festival day
- Kelham pre-drinks: Our Kelham Island night out guide covers Fat Cat, Riverside, and the warehouse bars — ideal before or after Steel City sessions.
- Abbeydale route: Pair the trail with Nether Edge listings — Café #9 and Abbeydale Road pubs are all in the same pocket.
- Dore Moor: Seven Hills is on the A625 towards the Peak — bus routes from the city centre serve the Dore area; allow extra time if you're driving (club directions on sheffieldtigers.org.uk).
