An Evening with Gideon Conn & Ben P Williams at Cafe No9
The Spiel
The search for a new sound continues into a third decade for Manchester artist and musician Gideon Conn. A part time job in a hardware store provides routine, rhythm and a window to the world, invigorating his songwriting process. With a fifth album around the corner, follow Gideon on his journey through jazz, soul, hiphop and hard musical nonsense. *************************** Ben P Williams is a Manchester-based singer-songwriter known for crafting songs with honesty in the middle and mischief around the edges. Since releasing his debut album Who Do You Think You Are? in 2015, he’s built a loyal following with his blend of folk, acoustic and soul influences, drawing comparisons to the likes of Paul Simon and Jack Johnson. His music has been championed by BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music, and BBC Introducing, and his live performances—whether solo or with his band—are praised for their warmth, humour and heartfelt delivery. With five albums under his belt, including his latest release Benthusiasm, Ben continues to tour the UK and beyond, winning over audiences one song at a time. ********************************************************************************** Please note this ticket price DOES include a BYOB fee should you wish to bring alcohol to the venue. All additional purchases of drinks and sweet treats from the cafe counter are always very much appreciated.
