Crossed Wires Presents to Catch a King
The Spiel
BBC journalist Sue Mitchell and her ex-soldier friend Rob Lawrie make a remarkable team. Their multi award-winning Radio 4 podcast, To Catch a Scorpion led to the arrest of a major international people smuggler and now in To Catch A King they are digging even deeper into this dark and dangerous world. Their investigations have seen them stakeout car washes in the north of England, have lunch with smugglers in Turkey and travel to the Kurdish Iraqi town where the criminal network believed to be responsible for the majority of illegal cross-Channel journeys is based. In this session, they join Catrin Nye, presenter of A Very British Cult, to reveal how they do what they do, and why they do it.
