The Spiel

Damanek is an international progressive rock collective bringing together three acclaimed musicians from the United Kingdom, Australia and Germany. Since its formation in 2016, the band has earned a reputation for sophisticated songwriting, world-class musicianship and ambitious albums that blend progressive rock with jazz fusion, folk, cinematic soundscapes and socially conscious storytelling.

Founded by Guy Manning, Sean Timms and Marek Arnold, Damanek was created as a truly collaborative project, combining decades of experience from some of progressive music's most respected bands. Rather than following traditional genre boundaries, Damanek creates expansive, emotionally engaging music where memorable melodies, intricate arrangements and lyrical depth exist in equal measure.

The band's debut album On Track (2017) immediately established Damanek as a significant new voice in modern progressive rock, followed by In Flight (2018) and the critically acclaimed Making Shore (2023). Across these releases the trio has collaborated with an impressive roster of guest musicians while maintaining a distinctive musical identity built around expressive songwriting, powerful performances and exceptional production.
