S&m Presents: Soothsayers
The Spiel
Sidney and Matilda Presents: SOOTHSAYERS+ The Lemur Conspiracy For over two decades, Soothsayers have been energising spaces with a sound that is as fearless as it is soulful, with their 25th anniversary being celebrated last year. Their consistent blend of Afrobeat, dub, reggae and jazz has cemented their reputation as one of the most vibrant and uncompromising bands on the UK circuit. Driven by hypnotic rhythms, horn-led melodies, rich vocal harmonies and conscious lyrics - each performance is a call to dance, to listen, and to connect. Soothsayers are a celebrated festival act, appearing at Glastonbury, Womad, North Sea Jazz, Shambala and many more across the UK and Europe. Their live performances - dynamic, dance-inducing, and uplifting - have earned them a loyal international following and critical praise. Their album, Fly Higher (September 2025), continues their journey of cross-cultural fusion, showcasing both their trademark horn arrangements and new explorations in sound. It follows a catalogue of acclaimed releases including Tangled Roots (2005), One More Reason (2009), Human Nature (2012), Tradition (2018), and We Are Many (2020). The Soothsayers movement has made them a vital part of community culture in Brixton, South London where their monthly jams feature a multi generational musical collective including young musicians from Youthsayers - Soothsayers’ nationally known project that develops young people through music. More than 20 years in, Soothsayers are still breaking boundaries, still raising voices, and still proving that music can be both a celebration and a revolution. “precise, melodic vocals with intricate horn-led arrangements… the mood is defiant and joyous… delightful.” Uncut Magazine £15 ADV / £18 OTD Doors - 7:45pm
