Stand & Be Counted Theatre is the UK’s first theatre company of sanctuary, founded with a passion for platforming the voices we need more of. Our work is adventurous and highly political, merging lived experience with new ideas. We have always believed that theatre is a vital tool in the pursuit of positive social change and justice. Art is activism and by changing hearts and minds we will change policy. Join us for an interactive, creative workshop exploring tools for theatre making inspired by Sheffield’s history of collective action. We will explore the arts as a powerful tool for social change and the forms of protest, big or small, we use to make a difference in the world.
