Hosting Cafe No9's forth young songwriter showcase, Sheffield native George Howard is an upcoming singer-songwriter with a penchant for crafting fresh, folk-inspired numbers. Often touching on social issues, George aims to move audiences with emotive lyricism, finding inspiration from his own personal conflicts and relating these struggles to a wider audience. Looking to release his debut album of original material in 2026, George hopes to de-mystify the art of songwriting and cultivate a unique musical approach to the well established singer-songwriter genre. ********************************************************************************** Inspired by the likes of Adrianne Lenker, Elliott Smith and Hayley Heynderickx, Rose Ingalill is an indie-folk singer-songwriter currently based between Sheffield and Glastonbury. Her songs are intimate and introspective, drawing on personal experience to explore universal themes: love, death, and the strange business of being alive. She writes to make sense of life, and to make peace with the inexplicable.
