Curtain Up, Sheffield: The Best Shows to Catch This June

If you’re looking to get off the settee and see something decent this June, our theatres are showing some real gems this month. Whether you’re after a good fright, a singalong, or some hilarious telly legends, Sheffield’s got you covered.

Here’s our top picks of what’s hitting the stages across the city this month:

1. 2:22 A Ghost StoryLyceum Theatre

Saturday 6th June

If you’re in the mood to be chilled to the bone while still having a chuckle, get yourself down to the Lyceum. 2:22 A Ghost Story is a supernatural thriller by playwright Danny Robins. Since its inception in 2021, it has been making waves across the UK and the globe. It won the WhatsOnStage award for Best New Play and stars James Bye (you might recognise him as Martin from EastEnders) and Natalie Casey (the absolute icon from 2 Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps). It’s a brilliant, edge-of-your-seat sort of night where secrets come out and things go bump in the night. What do you reckon, do you believe in ghosts?
